Faye Clayton, the CEO of Clayton Software Company, received numerous disastrous test previews in her development team after their latest game project, "Evilution." As a result, she started searching for a new team. During the search, she chose a renowned game design team - Bug, Hardcore, Sol - with Peter Drummond as a replacement. They were also informed that the person who could make the game the scariest through innovative means would win a $1 million bonus. Despite their competition, they worked together to make the game terrifying enough to scare kids within four weeks. Just as Sol added his powerful AI chip to the hard drive, a lightning strike caused a surge of energy, bringing "evil" to life. The programmers were soon trapped in the building, becoming targets in the killer game they had created. The virtual nightmare had begun.
